My homemade body butter!

I LOVE DIY PROJECTS!!!

I was searching for something to do one afternoon, and I stumbled across a fun way I could use up all the solid cocoa butter (or as we say, cocoa 'fat') I had laying around the house. Well, one thing led to another, and now I have my very own, homemade body butter!

I used:
-2 solid bars of cocoa 'fat'
-a few tablespoons of almond oil
-some tablespoons of my Palmer's coco butter body oil (cause I really didn't know what else to do with it)
-a few drops of castor oil
-some fragrant "White Diamonds" oil that I found in a store in town
-glycerin
-mosquito repellent cream
-enough cornstarch to get it to a creamy consistency

Microwave the 'fat' til its nice and soft, but NOT til it becomes and oil, or you'll have to pop  it into the freezer for a minute or so.
Whip everything except the cornstarch together. I used my electric cake mixer for this, and it was so creamy! That changed, however, when I added the mosquito cream. My mixture got really watery. I didn't want to leave it out, cause the mosquitoes over here are KILLER!!!
That's where the cornstarch came in....I added enough, until I was satisfied with the texture.

This is a great moisturizer, and I especially like using this at night, when it gets a bit chilly. I even saw my husband sneaking a bit the other night (^_^).
It is rather thick, so I'd say its too much for the daytime in all this Caribbean heat!!! I enjoyed this soooo much, I think I'll make some as a gift for my mom!

*Now, I know I didn't give any exact measurements, but that's because I didn't use any myself. I just mixed what I had, and thickened it up with some cornstarch.*
