Upcycled pillows
I had some ugly, nasty, old pillows that I was going to toss out, since we had changed the ones we were sleeping on and these had been in storage.
Then I thought, wait a minute....I need *stuffing* for my new throw pillows and it makes no sense buying, when I can repurpose what I have on hand.
So....this was another super simple, self explained project that took no time to complete.
I bought some really cheap throw pillow covers to use as 'permanent vessels' for the stuffing. Then I'd be able to use the covers I did want on display over those.
Starting out, I cut the pillows carefully, not because I didn't want to 'ruin' them, but because they were overstuffed and I didn't want crap flying everywhere in the kitchen.
I poured half the contents of one pillow into one of the cheap cushion covers.
My 2 pillows gave me 4 cushions in total.
One of the covers had a spoiled zipper, so I cut it, filled and stitched it back up.
And that was it! I put them inside my new cases and was finished.
Have you done this before? I plan to do it again, this time for the bedroom. I love the look of 'too many' pillows on the bed.
Hubby does not.
