We moved! Also, testing chalk labels

I haven't posted in....way too long. We've moved into our semi finished (more finished than not) house and things are starting to normalize.
I decided to test some diy chalk labels for all the jars I plan on using to organize my life.

Super simple:
-1 clean jar of your choice
-4 pieces of tape
-Matte black paint or black chalkboard paint
-A painting instrument of choice
-Whatever you need to clean your brush afterwards (I used thinners according to the instructions on the can)

Obviously, you want to start with a clean jar, at least on the outside.
Tape off the section where you want your label to go, using the 4 pieces of tape.
Paint the inside portion of your taped off section, being careful not to drip paint everywhere 🙄.
Allow it to dry. Mine dried to a matte finish. Peel off your tape CAREFULLY.
And that's it.

I'm letting mine sit overnight before I write on it (mainly because I can't find the chalk. It's in a box somewhere).
